The article covers actual questions of philology in the field of linguistics, more specifically, structural paremiology: study of proverbial sayings from sense to meaning by G. L. Permykov`s method. G. L. Permykov`s method reflects a semiotic approach in the study of proverbial sayings and a principle of their classification and it is based on their significance and variety. Let`s make it more precise, that the author of the method doesn`t give accurate determination of «sense» and «meaning », but he means the following. «The sense» of saying in G. L. Permykov`s method is equal to invariant pair of opposite main points, which is formed by means of key words, that can enter into definite abstract relations. Thereby they are interesting to the researcher. Invariant pair is unchangeable and is not only the centre, or as Permykov calls it, «the central meaning of saying» but it is a fundamental component of Permykov`s method. This indecomposable structural and meaning unit helps «the explication» of sayings to inflectional class (or HLSI) by Permykov`s method, and it is the principle of studying paremii from sense to meaning. The way this method is introduced can be shown by the example of forming meaning spaces of four inflectional classes of studied thematic group «human».
variant, invariant, the highest logical – semiotic class, invariant pair, meaning model, index of connotation.
